The Stone

By Jason Leigh (c) 1997

I drifted through the place that you would call time--ever knowing--ever growing--ever soaring--within the vastness of the infinite--which all came from Me--and I nurtured it, fore I am always there and always over here to everywhere: to come and watch it grow . . .

And there was no time for Me to consider, or for Me to lose--way back then, fore I am the infinite--the ever knowing--the ever growing--the ever soaring, having given all things meaning from my being, which is the light of eternal mind . . .

The thoughts, My children, began to awaken, each one, into the limitless vastness of this time of yours--fore I was the entirety from the beginning--and there will be no end, so I sprang forth, being the first to be full and then fulfilled, unfolding like a scented flower and the sweetness of a dream come true: everything became everything--fore I, had made it so . . .

And everything had to be its very own--with its own Holy space--with its own form of color--and with its own chosen name. And I allowed it to be a part of its own: fore I was then--not alone: when I showed them all how to make things, so . . .

And then We traveled the great expanses--and We made everything, even more. We called upon all things to be their very own, for what they were then, We knew that they would yet, become. Hence, was everything given freely to the One--and one by one, fore that was when there was no sin. Then We nurtured them all to behold them grow, and We knew that their flesh and bones could be guided by the Spirit--but yet, lead by their own free will. And We beheld the complete human--for he too, was also Good . . .

Out into Infinity, to the distances of everywhere, which goes on forever, was all made from Me. Everywhere where everywhere expanded, and unto its very own--as it all began to expand--within all of its own time--and within its own way, and We felt joy within the glory, which became all these other things. And We made it all happen, one short moment in time--as now there was what would be: that very thing, which you would call, 'freedom . . .'

Then everything became an all encompassing Universe--bit by bit, place by place, fore Everything was within it before it became real: each one unto its own kind and within its own way--as We stretched forth from within Ourselves and beheld that it was all created and was meant to be.

So then each had its own way to move and to abide, fore We had made all things perfect--from whence they all came--and We knew that someday, someone would give it all--another name . . .

Then We dreamed other dreams of other living things, which became complete things as living creatures: that all of them should move forward--within their own way, within their own time, fore We knew what they one day would find--when they called the moments--time: a full circle within a circle--and a rhyme entwined within a rhyme . . .

Henceforth, We created the living creatures, everyone--and to every place--each within its own way--and each within its own space and time. And We charged them all to grow--and then to go and to flow within the Great sea of time . . .

So We nurtured them and did show them love, one by one, and then two by two--when then We saw, that it was all of Everything: and We, had made it so . . .

Then there came the small, blue world into Our view, where We had always been throughout infinity--to everywhere--from this space within . . .

Then We dreamed into this dream and We found ourselves--there. Then there came a time--as We came to know--when We spread ourselves out amid all of the life, which We had made--and We found ourselves wandering--within this new dream--and We knew that We had to become that which this was, and that which it would be. And then We saw that it was all-- fore We, had made it so . . .

And then, being the First, my Spirit within this shell did spring forth. And My eyes could see only as far as they could see--and My mind traveled only as far as it too, could be. Then there was this life created upon that day--and within that time--and in this world--fore I walked upon the living soil which you call, ground, and We saw that this all was sorely lacking--without a Holy soul . . .

Wherefore, We dreamed into this world, 'living creatures' large and small: Each within its own place--and within its own way--within its own kind and even closer to its own, fore We knew what each would one day become, as the dream then unfolded and was brought into the Spirit and given the gift of life: To set out within this world--and to seek out the others . . .

Ah, though there was a moment when I went out walking within this body, in my own way, and within the confines of this place called, time, and I reached out and found there a stone, which was left alone--unknowing--although enriching: this solid little stone.

And I knew that there would come such a day--when another's eyes would travel this way and would reach down to touch this simple, little stone, and then feel the wonder that I had given unto it--so very long ago . . .

And We knew on this one coming day, within this space--and within this time, the living creatures would then behold--the growth there is grow--to the brilliance under the sun--and they would someday know and would someday understand: that the dream became the Dreamer--and the stone became, . . a stone.
