The below is the last email I have gotten from NASA's FOIA Attorney, which relates a promised 'telephone call' to discuss the documents posted herein that relate to the hazardous chemicals used in the Space Shuttle's 'TPS' insulation on the 'external tanks.' The alleged 'Restrictions' of allowable FOIA releases of information is discussed, and whether we at JasonLeigh.org are breaking the sighted Federal laws.
The promised telephone call from the FOIA Attorney, did not happen, although the telephone was in working order, we made several calls and had gotten a few calls, which proved the telephone was indeed working, but, alas; no phone call from the FOIA Attorney, to discuss what seems to have been a VERY HIGH PRIORITY situation to address: our posting of these hazardous chemicals, which could have been ingested by anyone who may have been out of doors (just as I was) when Columbia began breaking apart in the tragic disaster of February 1, 2003.
We have decided to 'un-block' the link to the documents at sunset of Friday, July 18, 2003, since despite out repeated requests for clarity of this situation and the failed phone call: we resume our duty in informing the American public and those within the 'debris areas' of these horrific dangers that the government isn't telling us about. We; the taxpayers.

Dear Christi:
I am writing regarding the ‘telephone call’ of which you related that you wanted to place with me, as well as these other issues:
May I have a better idea as to when you will call, as I have doctor appointments and other household errands to run daily about town, and I forgot to give you my cell phone number: 817.266.4959 (private, please!).
Also, I would ask, sincerely, if you believe that I am breaking the prevailing State Department Laws you related in your first email to me, by posting the documents at our website? I should add at this time, that some of those documents were given to me as a result of a ‘personal injury’ case we brought into Federal Court upon my on-the-job injury of 1985, when a minute piece of ‘TPS’ material from an ‘external tank’ got into my eye and I was seriously injured as a result of that, as well as a severe spinal cord injury, which also happened, on-the-job.
Being an attorney, you realize that litigants are given copies of ‘the case complete’ in such legal proceedings, just as I was in this case of some of those documents.
First and foremost: it has been and remains, my honorable intention on posting those documents, to bring public awareness to the ‘dangers’ of the chemical compounds found in the making of ‘TPS’ (polymeric isocyanate) applied to the ‘external tanks’ of the Shuttles (Orbiters), most certainly after finding small pieces of same, floating to the ground in my backyard after Columbia flew over this area in flames of my home town, Cleburne, Texas. As you may know, and as is posted on the website: I contacted the proper authorities after this finding of ‘debris,’ and having been a trained and ‘certified’ technician of the Shuttle Projects and certainly of ‘TPS’: I safely retrieved the debris before it could have been lifted up into the prevailing winds (it is light as a feather you know, and minute particles ‘float’ in the air of a room like dust from a curtain), and drifted elsewhere. The Group of six (6) Federal Agents who picked up these pieces of ‘debris from Columbia,’ agreed with me that it was most definitely a good thing I did in retrieving same, certainly after I had showed them my NASA Ids and my Certifications, all of which are also posted on the website. FEMA, NASA reps and the many other ‘authorities’ who were seen on TV after the Columbia disaster, were only warning the public to ‘stay away’ from the debris due to dangers that were ill-defined and remotely related, to state the truth of what I witnessed and videotaped on that fateful day, when the seven (7) brave souls lost their lives.
I was, and am right now, further concerned with the living: the people who may have been exposed to this ‘TPS,’ as it is known to ‘break up’ into ‘particulate’ matter, simply by a light touch of a finger, not to forget earth’s winds, which were about blowing at 14 to 18 mph on that morning, as I recall.
‘Luckily for me; I was wearing my eye glasses when I went outside to see the Columbia pass over my house in the bright blue sky, otherwise, just as in 1985 while working in ‘final testing’ at the ‘blue hangar’ when I was not wearing eye protection gear, as it was not otherwise needed in that situation according to what I was told in daily working in the hangar; a small piece of ‘TPS’ floated down from the external tank we were testing in what was a rare accident, and found its way into my eye. I returned inside my house to properly down myself with safety dress and gear to pick up the TPS pieces and place them into sealed plastic bags, you should realize.
It is well known, within the pages of the chemical compounds documents and what I was taught and learned from in my training, that if ‘TPS’ particles are inhaled; an ‘unknown’ form of cancer develops within the body of the human who fell victim to such an unwarranted intrusion of the substances that make up ‘TPS’ as a final product. This is what I wanted to relate to the public and felt so strongly of, that the self-same authorities should have informed the public about, via the massive media coverage that was given this disaster. (It was 24-hour total media coverage here in north Texas, at the time).
In closing, I have, as of 12:30 am this morning, ‘blocked’ the link on the website, which leads to the documents in apparent question at this time, although this morning, I feel such dreaded regret for having done so, as I do firmly believe that the public should know of this issue, while also knowing that I should NEVER desire to break the law, most certainly a ‘Federal law,’ which could be a very serious charge, as you related.
There is an adage that I shall close with, which is a true expression of my beliefs and feelings in this life: “Find something good enough to live for. And, if called; something great enough to die for.”
