Would the government fly a flying saucer over a small town?

This past July 4th Festival, 1996, I was invited to the UFO Enigma Museum in Roswell, New Mexico, to give a presentation of my UFO video and the facts surrounding the sighting, or case-history, if you will.

We gave two presentations a day for three days, as well as an interview on KBIM radio, where John King and the, "Round Table," crew and I watched and explained the video--over the air waves. This was a first, as no one had ever explained a UFO video on the radio: a medium in which there is no sight to be seen by the listeners.

But there was another first at the UFO Enigma Museum, which struck me to the very depths of my soul: there was a husband and wife in the audience who were obviously, blind . . . At first, I did not notice these humbled, Native Americans, as I began to show the footage and explain the technical aspects of the UFO and the video itself. I tried to look at the audience without looking at them--when I saw this man and woman staring towards the ceiling and moving their heads slowly back and forth as blind people do. I became momentarily stunned and lost my rehearsed place in the presentation. They were transfixed upon my words with more intensity than those who had sight. I gulped down my Adam's apple in an emotion which was very moving for me. I thought quickly: How do I explain the appearance of a flying saucer from another world to people who were blind--possibly since birth?

Time seemed to shut down in slow-motion. I glanced at the packed audience. There were people who were pointing at the TV screen. There were people who were whispering to each other. There were those who were staring at me and wondering why I had frozen in the middle of a sentence. The blind couple were still transfixed upon my words, which were, at that moment; hard to find.

My prepared speech became a bygone after-thought. I realized that I could pretend that I was on the radio like the day before and explain the video as if no one could see it. That was it--everyone was blind. I tried my best, in what became an awkward form of pure inspiration.

After the presentation, many people came up to me to ask questions and to thank me for sharing the video and my experience with them. I kept glancing at the blind couple, who had a little girl with them. I assumed that the child was their daughter, as she was explaining our display to her blind parents. The little girl pulled at my arm and said that her mom and dad wanted to meet me, while at the same time, an over-talking UFO expert was rambling monologue in my other ear. I smiled and nodded to the little girl and tried to get a word in edgewise with the professor. Then there came another group of people and newspaper reporters up to me, all with questions and compliments upon their lips. It was a busy situation, and before I knew it, the blind people--were gone. I felt deflated that I had let-down the two most captive people in the entire audience.

But think about this for a moment . . . It is one thing to try to explain something that you had seen without the advantage of a picture or a video--but explaining the appearance and movements of a flying saucer to blind people--what a lesson in human nature that truly was; comparable to witnessing the UFO itself.

One man had asked me in the middle of the presentation: "Could it have been a secret aircraft from Carswell Air Force Base out of Fort Worth?"

After I had informed him that Carswell was about 40 odd miles from Cleburne, Texas to the north-northwest, I replied, "Having been in the Special Forces as well as the Military Police during the Vietnam war, . . I seriously doubt that they would run the risk of exposing such a remarkable aircraft as that UFO flying upside-down and from side to side over a small town in Texas. I would think that if it were some secret flying saucer--they would be flying it out at Area 51 in Nevada, or way out in the desert of White Sands, New Mexico."

I still believe that scenario to be true to this day (9-6-96), although NBC's "Inside Edition" show from Monday, September 30, 1996, ran the lead story of a speculation that the U.S. government was flying a UFO near England which had a near-miss with a British airliner. They further theorize that if that were the case, then the U.S. government was wasting tax dollars by keeping all of that secret and risking lives by flying too close for comfort to jet airliners--from other countries?

Inside Edition, in the same report, repeated the story of a UFO which was tracked by five different radar stations in Belgium a few years back, where that UFO dropped over 4,000 feet in one second!!! Unless the "control room" inside of the UFO had some sort of controlled atmosphere within: the humans on board would have been crushed to death by such a sudden and tremendous fall through Earth's gravity. It made an interesting story to be sure, by attempting to make us aware that the government should come-clean about the reality of UFOs, because now they are risking human lives (and a possible war) by these near-misses with jet airliners and misusing our tax dollars.

I doubt, very seriously, that there were humans controlling that UFO over England, or the one over Belgium, for the physiological reasons expressed above, although we must give Inside Edition credit for airing the story to keep the hope of the truth alive, but I feel that we are just going to have to find out for ourselves concerning the reality of UFOs.

My thoughts, upon watching that show (and others like it), is that the UFO 'buzzed' the airliner just as other UFOs have done so in the past, either for sport, or to make us aware of them. After all: wouldn't "they" have some form of radar themselves? Don't you think that the UFOs knew that there was an airplane in their path? Why wouldn't the UFO zip up and away miles before coming so close to the airliner, unless they (or it) wanted to be seen?

"Would the U.S. government run the risk that some guy in Texas would videotape a Top Secret UFO flying impossible maneuvers in broad-daylight over a small town? It would not then be a secret any longer--would it?" I asked the man in the audience, who had no further reply. He seemed satisfied with my answer.

I believe that the same would hold true concerning any debris from a wrecked or, crashed UFO, in particular, the infamous 1947 crash near Roswell, New Mexico.

After covert actions in Vietnam, there were, "strip-searches," which would sometimes include the bending over and, "spreading-the-cheeks," inspections.

Having not been born in 1947, I can not state for certain that these types of inspections were given to the, "clean-up crews" at this infamous site near Roswell, however, I would unquestionably assert that it was more than likely the case.

Of course, a creative person could have slipped passed these inspections, or even, one could have placed a piece of flying saucer debris in-between his boot leather, or inside of a truck tire, or, . . well, we could go on and on about those types of eventualities, but the reality is that so far, we have not been publicly, nor privately, privy to a piece of flying saucer debris.

Our great shared hope, is that one day, someone will find a way to expose us to something from that tragic crash, which I do truly believe--actually happened.

Some experts have asserted that the fear of the government's retribution is preventing this from happening, which is in itself, yet another tragic statement to the premise of control by means of terror by our U.S. government, which is supposed to ensure our "domestic tranquility," which may also be their defense in not making this information public. Wide-spread panic of the admission to the crash at Roswell or of the reality of UFOs in general, is more than likely their resolute concern--for to make such an admission may not (in the government's view) ensure the domestic tranquility, which they are sworn to uphold.

Therefore, perhaps we should not be so critical of the 1947 group of governmental agents and agencies responsible for a "cover-up" as others within the UFO community have criticized throughout the decades.

But then there are the 'debunkers,' such as Phil Klass (the Granddaddy of them all), who insist upon some tangible proof to the existence of UFOs, as if he expects that aliens from another world are going to dump their trash on the White House lawn. How many of you (you too Mr. Klass) have seen a commercial airliner or a military aircraft dump their trash on a runway at an airport? I have, for over twenty years, wanted to debate Phil Klass on this topic, as I have never seen, nor heard anyone else put this question to him and others like him, because they speak with such certainty and authority that the poor UFO witnesses, seemingly, don't have a leg to stand on; given to his view. "Yeah, . . show us a 'gizmo,' y'all."

In closing, I do not believe that any government would fly a flying saucer over a small town or a big city, because humans could not withstand the inertia of dropping over 4,000 feet per second, nor can humans overcome the cosmic-rays of outer space which penetrate anything and everything known to man and permanently destroys brain cells. 'Forget about space travel--for now . . .

Peace in numbers--Jason.
