Jason's hand-made Native American 'Dream Catcher' photographed with 'spiritual anomaly.'
* 'Spiritual Anomaly' (appears as the orange/pink softly moving 'wavy' light) is not any known effect of, or to, the film, nor is there a defect with the camera used. Anomaly appears the first night of a full moon for only a few seconds. The 'Dream Catcher' is hung on a sheet rock wall, which is actually painted flat, Latex Bone/white.
* Photo Negative (35mm) made available to registered labs only.
'Scanned' using a 'Visioneer' scanner Model 8100 at 600 dpi (Although much more clear: 1200 dpi was too much for this computer to convert).
** It should be noted, that this and the 2nd photo were taken as the 'Dream Catcher' is hanging from the wall of Jason's bedroom. Despite the colors, which appear to be of the sky: it is indeed of a sheet rock wall. Note the 'peg' that secures this object to the wall in this photo, and in the following 2nd photo. THIS IS NOT A FAKED PHOTO!!!
This 'Dream Catcher' was made in the ancient Cheyenne fashion:
1. 'Hoop' is made from a freshly cut Willow limb. The bark is removed by hand, and the 'hoop' is then fashioned in a circle, tethered and tied, then soaked for 3 days in a pale of 'sage-water' and left to dry in the open air: under the sun.
2. The 'net,' or 'webbing,' is fashioned in the ancient manner of 12 central loops--expanding to form the netting of the 'scared pattern'--ending in the center where the focal point is a small hole where attached, is a black-pearl with a hole hand-drilled through the center for placement within the net.
3. Hawk's 'breast' feather inserted within the black pearl at the center.
4. 'Hoop' is wrapped in black dyed Elk skin.
5. Three (3) Hawk 'back' feathers are secured to the directions (east--west--south, with north being the center feather) they stand for.
6. Article was 'smudged' and blessed by a Registered Shaman and 'Sweat Leader' of the Navaho and Lakota/Sioux Nations.
7. 'Dream Catcher' made by Jason Leigh the summer of, 2000 AD, and hangs over his bed. The TRUE legend of the 'Dream Catcher': it's TRUE history, origin and meaning--will be discussed within this website in a forthcoming article with the selfsame title, shortly.
