An Answered Prayer

   And after I prayed in most sincerity, the Lord God, the Great Spirit, spoke within my mind, a riddle:

  “I will give you one thousand blessings if you could heal just one shattered Heart . . .”

  I contemplated upon this riddle as if my life depended upon it, which it likely as not did, and realized that I could not heal a single person of one single malady on my own without God The Almighty granting to me such power to heal a ‘shattered heart’ and wondered why He would ask this of me, when it was I who had prayed the prayer of one suffering from a shattered heart.

   Upon much reflection, I finally realized that The Great Spirit, God, had given to me a ‘gift’ unawares to me at the time: It was only me who could heal this shattered heart by forgiving and forgetting the one who had caused this suffering.

   I arose from my knees and thanked God Almighty for answering this humble prayer by giving to me the power to heal, just one--shattered heart.
